Back In Action

Hey everybody! So its been a long long time since I posted anything, but to be fair, its been almost as long since I brewed and since this blog is about me brewing... you get the idea.  That's all behind us now as we here at FGB are back in the proverbial buffalo brewing sattle.. Today's brew was a simpler one, some sort of ESB/APA hybrid beer. I say ESB because it used an English malt (Marris Otter) and I say APA because I used an American Hop (Cascade) and an American yeast strain. What I'm really concerned about it being? Delicious! Call it what you want, but the Marris Otter and Cascades ( some of which came from FGB's very own hop fields) should make for one hell of a refreshing drinkable beer to push us through the fall. Look for this to be on tap at FGB's pumpkin event in a couple weeks.

You might be asking yourself what else does FGB have in store for me in these upcoming months? Well I'm not entirely certain. Coming soon you will see a spiced hard cider, and the annual holiday ale. We're taking Futurama themed name suggestions as always. Saturday after Thanksgiving we're looking forward to brewing our second annual big beers in big bottles series beer. Style is YTBD. Have a strong beer you want to see me brew and oak age and bottle? Let me know.

Thats about all for now.
